Men have had a girl on the side for a long time. Hell, in the bible it’s almost mandatory. Read the old testament sometime, you’ll find that guys could sleep with the side chick, the slave and the sister with barely a reason why. The men would be proud to have so many children from so many women, but still this one, THIS one, she’s my main. Men shouldn’t do it, but I understand why. They like to get the girl. Once you have the girl, you get another one. You get bored of the one you have. You don’t want to kick the main to the curb because you’re thinking of the kids or the cost of divorce or worst yet: I still love her. You don’t. You’re gonna screw the kids up a lot more if they find out their parent is stepping out. What’s worse is that kids get the idea for what is acceptable behavior in life from their parents. If your parents cheat, you can see it as a possibility. If your parent has a boyfriend or girlfriend, you think that’s an option too. It’s not just the little boys either. Little girls are taught, “This is how men are. They can’t stay faithful.” So they never expect a man to be faithful again.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not just something that MEN do. I’ve known plenty of women who say, “This is my main dude, cuz he’s a good father and pays the bills. This dude is the one that treats me. He spends all his money on presents for me. This one is just a good fuck!” I’ve known too many women who aren’t sure who the father is, but they know it is definitely one of the people they are having a relationship with. They are just being selfish and terrible people. When a man does it, it’s called pimpin. When a woman does it, it’s called ratchet. Either way, it’s wrong. If you’re gonna make a promise to someone, keep it!
I am glad ERNIE and I both have parents who kept their promises. It makes me think we will never have to worry about this. I know that he is everything I need and I hope I am the same to him. The biggest problem I see with people is they get bored. Well if you’re bored, then maybe don’t just leave it up to the other person. If they don’t want to work on it, then you talk about it. Make it clear to them what you need. If they still can’t give it to you, maybe you can talk about a permanent solution. I don’t see enough people having this conversation. I see people saying, “I wasn’t being appreciated so I found someone who did notice me!” I’m glad you’re being noticed, but maybe you should have spoken up. I hate seeing a persone who doesn’t know they’ve been cheated on, lied to and embarrassed. I just hope that if I ever see that again, I can say something. I can help someone make a clean break before they start something on the side. Cuz let me tell you, if your plan was to cheat, cuz it’s sex and that’s it. Sorry! Someone will catch feelings. Someone will get hurt and now the only progress you’ve made is paying two women child support instead of 1.
